Early Childhood Education

Summit Schools’ Early Childhood Education Program establishes a solid foundation for the beginning years of your child’s education. Early childhood classrooms are filled with exploration, in a structured, nurturing environment where children are given the opportunity to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. The aim of our educational program is to further each child’s growth while developing a sense of personal responsibility, and the ability to work with others. Active, engaged learning is encouraged and fostered. The curriculum is strong in basic skills and broad in enrichment. Children participate in daily small group reading instruction using Orton-Gillingham Phonics, written language instruction, and math instruction using Saxon Math. Science and social studies are both taught with a theme-based curriculum, utilizing experiments, hands-on activities, and demonstrations.
